Business Basics
I wish to welcome you to our initial session now that I am aware that working from home for making money online are your passions. You are in a unique situation because I intend to introduce you to the very lucrative and growing online business industry. It is my honor to be the one to guide and prepare you for becoming a major player in it.
I am Ted Morgan and will be your personal guide throughout this course. As we begin our journey, you need to fully understand that I am not going to tell you everything I know about being successful online.
What you will be given are the guiding principles for becoming successful online; as a result you will become the master of your own success. I do not want simple clones of myself. Rather, I want you to be totally liberated to build your future by using the principle that will been given you throughout this course.
To be truly successful depends on you internalizing the principles I will give you throughout this course. This course is about learning the underlying principles to become successful online and using them as a springboard to your online business success.
My coaching techniques may be a bit unorthodox, but it has worked well for me all these years. The business education I have acquired since 1996 to date gave me the confidence to share my business education with you by building this coaching website. Business Nomenclature
In the first year of attending middle school, my English professor impressed upon us that it was important to know what we read, write and speak about. But before that, our teachers in grade school taught us the alphabet and the sounds they all make in making words.
Then our teachers proceeded to tell us what the words meant. After a time, we were taught how to structure those words into coherent sentences. That was the process of learning English.
I am not here to bore you to death about grade school English lessons, but we were not fully aware (at the time) what we were being taught was a guiding principle for learning any subject. That principle was the one thing that changed my life in a fundamental way.
When we were learning English, math, music, physical education or even sports the underlying principle we learned in grade school applied to them all. When I finally understood the principle, learning became simple.
Once I fully understood the underlying principle and began experimenting with it, my mind suddenly shifted gears. I somehow knew that at that point I could now learn new things without the incessant assistance of my teachers; in essence I became liberated (self-governed).
After being liberated I began studying many more subjects that I wanted to know more about like business education, swimming, boating, plants, animals, cooking and other varied interests. Before fully understanding the guiding principle, studying was a boring chore like eating Brussels sprouts. Now it is a real joy learning new things.
The guiding principle to learning any subject was to know the nomenclature of the subject you want to know more about. You need to know what the subject entails. The nomenclature of a subject is the general description, common usage of its terms and its common language.
When we have somewhat of a general understanding if the subject matter (guiding principle), we tend to not waste a lot of time stopping and starting in the middle of studying the subject to find out what a new word or concept means.
Example: What is ‘marketing’ – the process or technique of promoting, selling, and distributing a product or service. Marketing makes you more attractive to your market, it is the way you advertise your products/services that draws a more favorable response from your market. (e.g. buy one and the second one is half off)
Learning a new subject in this way is like having the answer to a test written on the backside of the test you are taking.
The nomenclature of a subject are like the rules of the road. If you have a clear understanding of the rules, it is less likely that you will not make very many mistakes. As a side benefit of understanding the nomenclature of a subject builds real self-confidence.
I have found that knowing the subject nomenclature of the subject makes your peers look at you as if you have a special gift when it comes to learning.
You will not feel like you have a special gift. You will have an attitude and passion of wanting to know things, a driving determination to succeed and you will not leave any stone unturned till you actually own the new knowledge.
It all starts with a winning attitude a mindset that says ‘I will not be denied’, and believe in my heart that I have already attained what I seek. You will be invincible and well grounded.
Within reason, focus your energies on studying to make your mission a reality in the shortest period of time. Comprehensive diligent study and determination should be your taskmasters and failure should not be in your vocabulary.
In conclusion, this lesson was rendered to those that want to know the special gifts of how to study and save time by knowing the nomenclature of the subject, which builds real self-confidence.
