Building a thriving Internet based home business is the first test to see if you have the right mindset to endure the trial to the very end. It asks these questions,

“What is the Internet business model you intend on building your business around, what led you to decide to build an Internet based home business and are you determined enough to see it through at all cost?”

Is the business you intend to build going to be another expensive hobby that you can quit when you feel like it, or is it going to be a real business?

Note: Without a doubt business is not something to toy with, it is some serious stuff, if you thing you just want to do a dry-run for a while and quit in the middle, do not waste your time, your time and energy could have been better served working a dollar/hour job like normal folk. Without planning there is a danger of getting sidetracked by our own ideas, idle thoughts, & even our competition; with good planning our goals are more concrete and helps to insure our business success.

Sample Mission Statements

Write a simple business plan with our business mission statement included, include just enough information to prompt taking immediate action; avoid becoming overwhelmed with too much planning & thus paralysis by analysis, choose a descriptive name for the business that creatively says exactly what the business does; write with online business law in mind.

Define our vision- That is, answer the questions Why do we exist – What do we want to become in the future, the vision commits our business to both a short- & long-term objective, with a defined vision there is no wavering.

Define your mission statement- That is, answer the questions How are we going to do it – How are we going to get there (to the vision), the mission statement tells us how it will accomplish it’s vision.

Define our product/service-

Know our costs- What are our client’s costs, and our profit

Budgeting is a necessary evil and must be incorporated in our sample mission statement and the overall business; a successful business has a balanced budget, reflective of total costs against projected sales, & leaving room for business cashflow as well.

Why learn about the competition- To find the weaknesses in their product & make ours even better; discover strengths in their product & benchmark them; to differentiate ourselves from them; to find out who their customers are and discover how they get increased web site traffic; uncover waste in their overhead & keep ours lower; get a schedule of their fees & other product costs; to gain information about their annual revenues; discover customer opinion of their product or service; to be able to sell against them if a customer brings them up; to know their history & how long they have been in business.

We wish to welcome you to our initial session now that we are fully aware that passive income opportunities for earning money at home online are your passions; you are in a unique situation because we intend to introduce you to the very lucrative and growing online business industry and it is our honor to be the ones to guide and prepare you for becoming a major player in it.

Business Nomenclature

In the first year of attending middle school, my English professor impressed upon us that it was important to know what we read, write and speak about, but before that, our teachers in grade school taught us the alphabet and the sounds they all make in making words.

Then our teachers proceeded to tell us what the words meant, after a time, we were taught how to structure those words into coherent sentences, that was the process of learning our English language.

I am not here to bore you to death about grade school English lessons, but we were not fully aware (at the time) what we were being taught was a guiding principle for learning any subject, that principle was the one thing that changed my life in a fundamental way.

When we were learning English, math, music, physical education or even sports, the underlying principle we learned in grade school applied to them all and when I finally understood the principle, learning became simple.

Once I fully understood the underlying principle and began experimenting with it, my mind suddenly shifted gears, somehow I knew that at that point I could now learn new things without the incessant assistance of my teachers; in essence I became liberated (self-governed).

After being liberated I began studying many more subjects that I wanted to know more about like business education, swimming, boating, plants, animals, cooking and other varied interests; before fully understanding the guiding principle, studying was a boring chore like eating Brussels sprouts, now it is a real joy learning new things.

The guiding principle to learning any subject was to know the nomenclature of the subject, what the subject entails, the general description, common usage of its terms and its common language.

When we have somewhat of a general understanding if the subject matter (guiding principle)- we tend to not waste a lot of time stopping and starting in the middle of studying the subject to find out what a new word or concept means.

Example: What is marketing – the process or technique of promoting, selling, and distributing a product or service; marketing makes you more attractive to your market, it is the way we advertise our products/services that draws a more favorable response from our market – As in: buy one and the second one is half off.

Learning a new subject in this way is like having the answer to a test written on the backside of the test you are taking.

The nomenclature of a subject are like the rules of the road, if you have a clear understanding of the rules, it is less likely that you will not make very many mistakes; as a side benefit of understanding the nomenclature of a subject, it builds real self-confidence.

I have found that knowing the subject nomenclature of the subject makes our peers look at us as if we have a special gift when it comes to learning.

We will have an attitude and passion of wanting to know things, a driving determination to succeed and will not leave any stone unturned till we actually own the new knowledge.

It all starts with a winning attitude a mindset that says ‘I will not be denied’, and believe in our heart that we have already attained what we seek, we will be invincible and well grounded.

Within reason, focus our energies on studying to make our mission a reality in the shortest period of time, comprehensive diligent study and determination should be our taskmasters and failure should not be in our vocabulary.

In conclusion, this lesson was rendered to those that want to know the special gifts of how to study and save time by knowing the nomenclature of the subject, which builds real self-confidence and victory.

Business Lifestyle Choices – In 1991 Working from home became the best alternative for Ted Morgan, a disabled highway construction office manager, after surviving three devastating strokes leaving him severely paralyzed and unable to work a regular job, he was originally left handed, but after the last stroke he had to learn how to use his right hand for almost everything.

He finally decided to try a new line of work for earning money at home online – after enduring years of extensive therapy; having a degree in business administration, he ultimately would love to be able to share his business knowledge with others through his own tutoring business.

In 1996 we began working from home learning how to build our online tutoring business, the challenge was getting the truth for building a profitable online business; from 1996-2000, most of the truth we got came from our online failures, later from some paid courses.

For the next four years we found ourselves jumping from program to program and always looking for the free or almost free ones to test out, after a while we found that we did not need a program, what we really wanted and needed was our own business.

The affiliate model was not our idea of owning our own business, but as time passed, we eventually hooked up with trainers that got us on the right online business path.

I am a perpetual student of learning, and what I learned and implemented from my studies become themes to be shared with our website visitors. Now that we have a platform for our business, I do not feel useless and disabled, I feel empowered; it was not till I found SBI! that I finally understood the full scope of building an online business and how to make a serious impression on the lives of so many others.
